Echocardiogram

Echocardiogram: An Echocardiogram is a cardiac ultrasound used to image the heart using high frequency sound waves. This examination is used to assess the structure and function of the heart and its associated blood vessels. Sound waves bounce off the heart’s structures and are captured back by the transducer. The returning echoes are then converted to visual images, allowing healthcare professionals to visualise the heart in real time.
