Computed Tomography (CT)

CT, or Computed Tomography, uses multiple X-Ray images and digital computer technology to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body’s bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues. These scans offer more detailed images than a standard X-Ray. In some cases, a contrast agent may be used for enhanced detail.

The CT scanner is doughnut-shaped with a bed that moves through its centre. You will be asked to lie still on the bed while it moves through the scanner to capture the images.
